Water Heaters

Tank hot water, installed and replaced

Tank water heater installation and replacement. Most tanks give you eight to twelve years, and they rarely fail politely — the usual sequence is lukewarm water, then rusty water, then a puddle. Replacing one before it splits is a planned afternoon; replacing one afterwards is a planned afternoon plus a flooded floor.

How It Works

1

Size it to the household

Bathrooms, occupants and how the hot water is actually used. An undersized tank means cold showers; an oversized one means paying to keep water hot that nobody uses.

2

Check the connections

Gas, water, venting and the relief valve, so the new unit goes in properly rather than being swapped straight into somebody else's mistake.

3

Swap it out

Old unit isolated, drained and taken away. Most straightforward replacements are done inside a few hours.

4

Test and set

Filled, purged, fired, temperature set somewhere safe, and checked for leaks before anyone leaves.
